On the 5thOctober ALFAGOMMA Australia had their Grand Opening at their new facility in Sydney, NSW.
The event was was hosted by Guido Gennasio and Rick Sacco and was attended by several Alfagomma Australian customers, local Members of Parliament, CEO and Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The proceedings began with the viewing of the AG video, presenting our business on the world stage, which was well received by all. Rick Sacco MD of Alfagomma Australia and Guido both welcomed AGA customers, dignitaries and VIP’s.
The building was officially opened by the Italian Consul General Mr. Arturo Arcano, who presented a plaque to Rick and Guido commemorating the day.
After the official speeches the guests assembled outside for a group photo again as a reminder of this special day.

The main point of interest was the automatic warehouse system standing 10.1m in height by 4.5 m wide which dominates the warehouse area.
Rick explains:
“We have invested heavily in advanced inventory management systems and software, installing a state of the art automatic warehouse system which will improve accuracy and productivity, this is the way of the future.
In reflection, the growth of the AGA business has been extraordinary, since Alfagomma first opened the doors here in Australia in1991, growing to 9 Branches and with the addition in 2010 of the Hiflex Mobile Hose Service. The opening was a great opportunity to showcase Alfagomma Australia and the Alfagomma Group.”
