The new plant is located in Torreón, Coahuila, a region known for its strong industrial sector and considerable natural resources.

This facility is part of ALFAGOMMA’s plan to increase global sales and will serve the ever-important local OEM market. The 10.000 sqm plant is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for hydraulic hose assembling and steel tube bending.

“ALFAGOMMA de Mexico has a strategic location”, said Maurizio Barbini, General Manager for South America of ALFAGOMMA, in a statement. “Coahuila borders Texas, USA, and is crossed by a railway network that connects it to Canada. We are close to the factories of John Deere, one of the OEM customers that we will serve with hose assemblies and manipulated steel tubes. The facility will also allow us to cover the Mexican distribution market.”

Barbini attended the opening event along with Miguel Ángel Riquelme, Governor of the state of Coahuila, Jorge Zermeno, mayor of Torreón, members of local institutions and ALFAGOMMA’s employees.
